Day 1: Thursday, Nov 20: Departure of Choirs and singers to Bulgaria.

Day 2: Friday, Nov 21: Arrival in Sofia, Bulgaria. We will transfer to our hotel and enjoy a Shabbat Service, followed by a welcome dinner with the organizers and faculty of the festival.

Day 3: Saturday, Nov 22: Morning guided tour of Sofia.  First rehearsal of Sacred Service with the participating choirs and orchestra.  An evening concert with individual presentations by the guest choirs followed by Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 4: Sunday, Nov 23: Two three-hour rehearsals with all participating choirs and orchestra.  Dinner at the hotel restaurant. 

Day 5: Monday, Nov 24: Rehearsal with all participating choirs and orchestra. Thanksgiving ceremony followed by an evening performance of “Sacred Service” in Sofia, Bulgaria – A Bulgarian Premiere.  Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

 
Day 6: Tuesday, Nov 25: Dress rehearsal and an evening performance of “Sacred Service” in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Day 10: Saturday, Nov 29: A day of rest and sightseeing. Thanksgiving ceremony followed by an evening performance of “Sacred Service” in Jerusalem.

In addition to the four performances of the featured work “Sacred service”, by Ernest Bloch, guest choirs will have the opportunity to present individual selections at joint performances in Bulgaria and Israel.  Each choir will be allotted 15 – 20 minutes for their presentation.

Cost*:

 *  Lodging prices are based on double occupancy. For a single room please add the following fees:
    3 Star Hotel $350, 4 Star Hotel $800 and 5 Star Hotel $1800.

The cost includes the international flight from Sofia, Bulgaria to Tel Aviv, Israel, 10 nights lodging at three and four star hotels (double occupancy***) in Bulgaria and Israel, half-board (all breakfasts and lunch or dinner daily****), ground transportation in Bulgaria and Israel, professional guided tours of Plovdiv, Sofia, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

** The cost does not include the international flight to Sofia, Bulgaria and return flight from Tel Aviv.

*** For special choir discounts, please refer to the festival organizers.

**** Upon request, kosher food will be provided.

Airline reservations: At your request, the organizers will reserve your international flight to Bulgaria and return from Tel Aviv. 

Extension of the tour: It is possible to extend your stay in Bulgaria, before the festival and Israel after the festival. Special packages for an extended tour can be arranged by the organizers.

Auditors:  Auditors will be included in all the festival activities.  This is a great opportunity to support the festival and be a part of this memorable event while touring both Bulgaria and Israel.
